Is $32 dollars for 500g of Sodium chlorate expensive?
Hi guys. Do you think that 32 bucks for 500 grams of Sodium Chlorate with free shipping is a rip off? Just a quick question.

I wouldnt say a complete ripoff but its not a good deal.
you could make it yourself by elektrolysis ?
Use carbon rods and then filter the carbon particles off of the crystals and recrystalize them.

It also depends on the material.
Is it weedkiller, or is it 99.99% pure, analytically certified, reagent grade material?

I'm still looking for a good power supply and a platinum electrode. I have already messed around with graphite and it adds too much solid impurities
that clog the filters.
I'm trying to figure out how to make a graphite/titanium substrate lead dioxide electrode too. As a alternative.

It's reagent grade stuff. Yes. Analytically certified. And is the only one i can find for sell here...

Not a bad price, and you are lucky to be able to purchase it at all. It is not sold to the public at all in many countries, and even illegal to posses
in some.
Making it will take lots of time. If you enjoy doing it, then that is probably fine.
If not, spending the same amount of time doing some kind of paid work will probably make you way more than $32.
