Thanks markx, that is interesting ─ I had been under the impression that Mg nitrate was kinda a 'one use' desiccant.

Sulphuric acid, though, will likely remain the mainstay for the hobbyist.

[Edit] Wouldn't it be nice if the mag salt could be 'freeze-dried' in a current of cooled air? lol
