Finally found local supplier of lots of chemicals that sells to individuals!

Where I live it was almost impossible to even find a supplier of 50lbs of NaOH as they wanted a tax ID and business account and often a large minimum order of $300-500. Somehow even after searching my local area probably 200+ times over the last 7 years for chemical suppliers, I found an awesome one that's been around quite some time.

Here is a list of the what they usually stock, but it seems they can get a lot of other stuff, just have to ask and it will be a special order. Now this list isn't necessarily amazing in what they have, but the fact that they have access to get what you want is the really nice part.

Is this hydrogen peroxide 30%?

How did you find the supplier?

well, local to you could mean local only to you or local to a few of us (surely not me), adding the location and the name of the place/companh to your post is important, this way people can check by themselves. another useful information would be quantities, you are interested in bulk chemicals, 50lbs of NaOH is not something that everybody needs or wants to have in his amateur lab, does this supplier sell only kg10+ of everything or is it possible to order only 1L or 1Kg of something?
all informations you did not provide :'D

What on earth would you need 50 pounds of Caustic soda for? Got a lot of blocked drains? :)

Also biodiesel.

Or dissolving bodies, of course.

They misspelled the ethanolamines. I like how they have morpholine, keeps you from having to make it from diethanolamine.

What is morpholine used for outside of chemistry?

I would use it to experiment with enamines. I have planned to make a couple cyclic secondary amines to do this, but never got around to it.

Apart from dyslexic and illiterate junkies I remember seeing morpholine on an ingredient lists in some laundry product.i think it was a "Mr sheen" spray can.
Might have been fabric softener

Sorry, I didn't want to post the name of the company until I had checked them out. I found it really odd that I've looked for about 10 years and never found them, so I was a little skeptical when they said they've been around for like 70 years yet not one search result (out of probably 200-300 searches in my local city)....

As for the 50lbs NaOH, some people use that in a month. Soap makers or biodiesel - both popular in this area as we grow LOTS of oil plants (soy, rapeseed, etc). Some places wanted $250 for 50lbs of tech grade NaOH at other local suppliers!

I''ve been busy and haven't checked them out much more. They are on the East coast near Harrisburg Pa.
