Aluminum silicide by heating aluminum powder with silicon powder?
I'm trying to make some silicon tetrachloride without heat, so a silicide compound is my next thing to test. Would heating aluminum and silicon powder
make aluminum silicide? I'm going to begin testing this sometime this weekend.
There wasn't a fire, we just had an uncontrolled rapid oxidation event at the power plant.
