Possible enatioselective phenylacetylcarbinol synthesis ?

Hello,

Can someone confirm would this synthesis work in order to obtain enatioselective ( ee 99% ) R-PAC from R-mandelic acid --> Weinerb amide --> methyl grignard ---> R-PAC ?

Thanks !

Cheers ! :)

Texium thanks for reply.

Protection with sillyl group eg. tert-Butyldimethylsilyl chloride ( TBDMSCl ) or tetrahydropyranyl ether will be OK in my opionion because is the most easiest to remove ?
