AMATEX40

I had long ago decided to test explosives that were used during World War II and are not currently in use. So I started with amatex.
As you know, amatex came in two forms, 20 and 40, and these numbers indicated the amount of rdx in it.
I tested the Type 40 with an explosive speed of about 7500m / s.
Due to the presence of ammonium nitrate, it must be completely insulated from moisture, so a metal container and waterproof adhesive have been used in this explosive package.
My feeling is that,if there is good protection against moisture, this explosive will have a good performance in public use.

*Each package weighs 1/4 pound.
**5g rdx was used in this test as a booster

***As can be seen in the last picture, the ground was severely affected by the explosion.

You can also search on Google:
TNT:40
RDX:40
Nh4no3:20
Of course, I used 30 grams of ammonium nitrate.

3.5 NH4NO3 + C7H5N3O6 = 7 CO + 9.5 H2O + 5 N2
C3H6N6O6 = 3 CO + 3 H2O + 3N2

AN: 38.41% / RDX: 30.45% / TNT: 31.14%

CO2 up there, not CO.

Women are more perilous sometimes, than any hi explosive.
