Help to understand a chemical procedure
Hello
Is there anyone can help me to understand a chemical procedure in German language?
I tried to translate it using Google translation but the translation wasn't that good. And I want to understand it well.
Thanks

If you can post a copy or a link someone here might tell you what it means.
(Not me, I'm afraid my knowledge of German is just about enough to order a beer)

Knowledge Seeker, if you can post a reference or scan/pdf I'll have a look at it. I am just finishing off translations of a whole series of papers
German papers for the triazole thread. If you only need the procedure translating I should be able to do it fairly quickly.

It reads:
Dipeptide ester IIc: to a solution of 3.10 g (10 mmol) in 50 mL THF is added at -8 C a solution of 1.20 g (10 mmol) of pivaloyl chloride in 10 mL of
THF. After 10 minutes, there was at -12 C slowly added a solution of 1.03 g (10 mmol) glycine ethyl ester in 10 mL THF. The reaction mixture
(solution) was aged 1 h at -10 C then 12 h at room temperature. Then filtration, concentration and the crystalline residue is then rubbed (?
Triturated, suspended?) with ethyl ether. The in fiber like crystallizing ester IIc (3.05 g, 88%) melted at 104-108. From ethanol/water 125-127. Iron
trichloride reaction, after some minutes blue-red.
A rapid procedure for the esterification of amino acids - the formation of enamine (III) from acetoacetate ester (I) and aminoacid (II) can in
benzene-DMSO mixtures be significantly promoted, so that after alkylation and hydrolyses aminoacid ester (IV) is easily obtained.

Thank you for the translation. I appreciate it.
Unfortunately I took a screen shot for the wrong procedure and I didn't notice until I read your translation. So if anyone has time can translate it
to me.

pdf2go.com --> pdf to txt --> Google Translate. You only have to correct the pdf2go a bit, because it has trouble with the German umlauts and
characters. Took me three minutes to correct. You can even leave the umlauts out and just use the letters, as Google Translate doesn't care.
