Need KI and I
Looking for 250g Potassium Iodide and 400g Iodine prills. Used to use Ebay, but they dont seem to sell anything more dangerous than a spoon lately.
Doesnt need to be reagent, Its destined for tincture and water purification.

You are right! I see almost no KI crystals on ebay currently, except as supplement capsules. I did find one, but the price was too high. However,
Amazon still has several sellers of KI at around $18/100g or $80/500g. Pure I2 is harder to find, and I've always just made it from KI.

Pure I2 can be found on eBay. I see several listings, not really cheap, but affordable. Search for "iodine crystals". Many sellers have 250 grams for
appr. EUR 60.

I've seen iodine at quite a cheap price on eBay at 1/5th of the price you mentioned keep looking if that is the best price you can find

That would mean 48 euro for a kilo of iodine, which I find hard to believe. Even if you buy a kilo at once, the price woelen states sounds reasonable
for 250 grams.

ive noticed stuff like alkali metals are also difficult to find
oddly enough, wish.com features iodine crystals
and sometimes their sale bots glitches up and you can get it super cheap
i did find 100g KI on ebay.com last night so i know its a thing still
