Help : How to abbreviate functional groups in ChemSketch

Is anyone here familiar with this freeware?
How can I abbreviate functional groups? I want to write -COCH3 and -COOH instead of the exact bulky structural formulas of acetyl and carboxy groups.

I think it gives you Ac as an abbreviation for acetyl.

Please remember: "Filtrate" is not a verb.
Write up your lab reports the way your instructor wants them, not the way your ex-instructor wants them.

Well, Ac would be less than optimal, but I cannot even do that anyways.

Maybe there's no way other than using textboxes?

You can use the Atom label button, underneath the Text box button
