Yeah I ruined the thread... Sorry, about that - however I was getting no where with legitimate argumentations and contestations so I devolved into name calling and trolling :D

Here is my point exactly: Will the XL Pipeline end the world? No. Is it good? No. Is it bad? Yes. Should we do it anyway? No.

Information control and censorship has taken the place of any honest discussion in this thread.

If you stuck to the subject of global warming I would not mind but you do not.
If you want to chew the fat or fruit leather about philosophy, etc then start a topic in Whimsy, most things can fit in there and it an optional area.
Do not insult each other. You might think it funny, sometimes I do as well, but it does produce complaints. Complaints can result in modding :(
I have to try and balance your freedom of speech against others wish not to read your frank anglo saxon!

What is more hilarious is that the information control and censorship which has occurred is attributed to off topic reply or irrelevant philosophy. Complaints usually arise from the "thought police" desiring enforcement actions against what they perceive as "wrong thinking". What they cannot provide any intelligent or adequate response is precisely what they want censored or locked, and it is often information which may put things in honest perspective in a realm where honesty has been lacking.

Yeah SS, Rosco's and IrC's brand of bullshit had a kind of novelty value for a while there but tedium builds up over the pages until every post they make becomes a Baldrick's 'cunning plan'!
You end up like Edmund B . . .
