I'd use dichloromethane just 'cause that's what is generally used for solvent-based caffeine extraction. Note that you are likely to end up with a sticky lump than a crystalline mass, due to the caffeine source.

Let it have some good surface area (use a baking dish or something). Xylene is pretty volatile, so as long as there is some could surface contact with air, it should come off fine. You could gently blow air over it. I've also heard that scratching the glass aids crystallization, but then again that's more for crystallization out of some solvent... And you won't really end up with pretty white crystals anyways. You might want to cover it with some plastic wrap and poke holes in the wrap. Dust can be a pain in the ass.

Isolation of caffeine

The caffeine, an important stimulant drug. In humans, caffeine acts as a central nervous system stimulant, temporarily warding off drowsiness and restoring alertness.
I search on the net several ways of isolating the caffeine from tea and coffee
which of this two methods is the best for isolating the caffeine
1st method:
Using tea
Prepare a hot tea solution (100ºC)
Extract the H2O soluble solution of tea
Add CH2Cl2 (my chemistry teacher said that i could use chloroform instead of CH2Cl2 but i'm not sure) to make an insoluble solution, then extract the not miscible in water part
That solution contains: Caffeine, and minor impurities of tannis and chorophylls
Finally add salicylic acid that will form (with the caffeine) a salt: the caffeine salicylate
To extract the crystals of caffeine salicylate, boil the solution

Extraction of caffeine from coffee
Prepare a hot solution of coffee at 100ºC
Cool the solution
Add sodium carbonate
Add CH2Cl2 in order to extract the caffeine
Mix and then separe by extraction (the inferior cape contains the caffeine)
Add MgSO4 to eliminate the water
Filter the solution
Boil the solvent
And you have crude caffeine

Do you know other ways of issolating the caffeine?

Also i want to know if anyone know the synthesis of piracetam or other nootropics drugs

What about caffeine extraction using 2-methyl-2-butanol.
