This time I'm selling it all

I put up a list of reagents, solvents...etc a while back saying that I was going to put them up for sale. This time they are actually for sale. Including TONS of laboratory equipment, U2U me if you need something in particular, I will give you my ebay username and will put it up on Ebay for you.

That is probably a realistic price but to much for me. Sorry.

I'm sorry to say but most amateur chemists can't afford the prices you are asking. Unless you are willing to let your prices drop to 80-90 % from what they are listed, a lot of people here will just look once and no more.

I got most of what you've listed and more and I spent around 1000.00 over 5 years, mostly from craiglists and eBay.

If you live near a big city like I do, keep checking craiglists under lab chemicals or glassware and you'll get some unbelievable deals especially from older guys who are retired.

The prices even seem high for chemical suppliers... Maybe the pricing includes shipping? Then it would be more reasonable...

On these prices you won't sell anything.

That's okay that the reagents are from Sigma/Acros/Fisher/ect., but you are selling them as a third party supplier, so it is not recommended to sell them close to their "original" value.

I have a blog where I post my pictures from my work: http://labphoto.tumblr.com/

While I would like your Ammonium Acetate and Toluene, I'm sure your prices are beyond my budget... I'll check back ;)

If anyone is interested in selling their labware and chemicals, that's great, but don't expect to making much money on it. The home chemists on this forum are doing chemistry for the love of it... it is not a business or a job... so please take that into account. Dr. Bob is an example of someone who offers excellent prices, even adding extras into an order and I think many people have purchased from him because he's prices are excellent and he participates in this community and forum. Just check out all his comments. I cannot say the same for the person who started this thread.

If I ever retired from this chemistry hobby, which I might in 20 years, unless my kids decide they want to continue this hobby, I'm planning on giving away all my equipment and chemicals with the exception of my analytical balance and microscope. That's the way I feel, perhaps because so many of my labware and chemicals were given to me at incredible prices by men who have retired and wanted to give their stuff away to someone who will "appreciate" and use it to some good end.

I just don't want this forum to be a place where people are offering chemical sales and labware at ridiculously high prices. It just bugs me when I see this happening.

Just out of curiosity, how much are you asking for the RBFs, and what size neck are they?

Why not save everyone wasted time and put what prices you are willing to sell for with/without shipping (and where too) and be done with it?

You guys complaining must be spoilt as...

This sexy gear, at these prices is so awesome, that I'm aroused!

If Ephesian's shipping is to Australia? I'm going to have an orgasm, make an order and payment, have another orgasm, smoke a cigarette, then roll over and go to sleep dreaming sweetly. :P
