Palladium electro plating?

Hi! I want to make palladium electro plating on Cu and Ni.
Doss some know how to do? I think its much like making Ni electroplating.
Watt current/voltage?
Watt composition and concentration on the solution.
Watt Pd salts is best to use? Sulphate? Nitrate? Chloride in HCl?
I have Pd foil and can make salts from acids.
I'm grateful for help.

I know little about that at all. but I did mess around with lots of Ni electrolysis. and the best surface character I got was from the acetate salt. shiny, sturdy and bright. the sulfate and chloride salts were flaky in my experience. but I was only using a crappy computer power supply @ 12v to do this. so if you have a better power supply my input is worthless, as a tunable plating voltage/current would be SOOOO much better for following literature easily available. do some reading first. it's not hard to locate references, just takes a lill bit of effort like most things.

but from what I read about Ni the sulfate with ammonium sulfate and a surfactant was the button to win. might be totally different with palladium tho. read read read.

Thanks!
I have a tuneable power supply up to 30V.
I have found lots of readings, and videos about Ni and Cu plating but nearly nothing about Pd plating.
If someone have links, please post them.

go to google and select "patents" from the "more" drop down menu at the top of the page. then type in "palladium plating" and bingo..

http://www.google.com/patents/EP0280510A1?cl=en&dq=palla...

not exactly suited to your purpose, but has relative info. there are more to look through, think this was only 4th down, well some where towards the top. any how it's an easy and quick way to find info some times. some times the patents listed don't help much. so.. now ya know, hope it helps your research.

ya no problem, I didn't know about that till a few weeks ago when another member here mentioned it. really cool if you ask me. good luck and post your findings even if ya get failure (hopefully a success). I am interested in your topic but I don't own any palladium. wish I did though. good luck

Platinum electroplating is used for coating electrodes, which are used in the refinement of oil and in the production of fertilizers, acids, and even explosives.
