PGP key servers down?
I've been trying to acces several public PGP key servers lately for reuploading my own key (it seems to be gone from the server  ) and to retreive PGP keys for other users.
However, with every public server I try I get a timeout.
Is this on my end or is there something fishy going on?
One shouldn't accept or resort to the mutilation of science to appease the mentally impaired.

Everything works for me on the MIT server, keyservers.pgp.com, and Europe.keys.pgp.com. I can upload and search. (the Europe one was a bit slow
though)

I just tried mine and they seem to be fucked.
I dont know whats going on, but it feels like another one of those precursors to a bad thing...

Keyserver.pgp.com appears to be working perfectly normal for me.

Both keyservers.pgp.com, and europe.keys.pgp.com are working fine for me aswell. Could it be some localized problem? Hope it is.
Theory guides, experiment decides.

This is getting really fishy....
Ok, I upgraded my PGP version to 8.1 from 6.5xxx (can't exactly remember).
After importing my private key, I decide I want to test it if everything works fine. So I take one of my saved PGP files and try to open it. Sure
enough, password is asked for everything OK.
BUT, as soon as I start typing the password I get a message from ZoneAlarm that PGP is trying to acces the internet. WTF does it have to acces the
internet while I'm trying to acces my PRIVATE key which has been stored on my harddisk???
EDIT: BTW, BACKUP YOUR KEYS, INCLUDING YOUR PRIVATE KEY, BEFORE INSTALLING A NEW VERSION OF PGP. The bloody prog uninstalls EVERYTHING of the previous
install. So keep your keys on a flashdisk or something.
