Succinimides to pyrroles

Hi everyone,

I would like to ask you, that does anyone know a reduction method what could turn succinimides to pyrroles? I have tried recently LiBEt3H with not much results, so I would be really thankful if someone could give a good idea.

Many thanks!

Distillation with zinc dust is said to work with succinimide itself

It works on a maximum 30% yield as I remember from that Chem. Ber. article, what is not a really promising thing.

I would like to make 3,4 disubstitued pyrroles on this way and it would be great to get another way.
