Tropinone from glutardialdehyde

Hi!

I've got some glutardialdehyde for which I have no real use. While browsing the forum I've stumbeled on a note about tropinone synthesis, saying that tropinone can be synthesized from glutardialdehyde instead of succindialdehyde. I always thought that it will lead to pseudopelletierine.

Is it possible to get tropinone using glutardialdehyde?

No: as you said, it will lead to pseudopelletierine (according to Orgsyn).

As below, so above.
