Hello there.

Any particular reason why you are using IP spoofing?

It's very possible that he is not one of them.

What is the difference between using a proxy and spoofing your IP?

I've gone 5 years having the wrong definition of IP spoofing... :P
I thought IP spoofing was falsifing your IP, wow I was way out there.

Rogue Chemist:
A proxy server is a server that you use like a mid-way point between you and the web site you want to get to. That way it's not your IP or your computer that is transfering identifing information with the packets.
Proxy servers are a way to be more anonymous, where as IP spoofing is like hijacking packets.

The definition of spoofing is a bit vague, but I usually use it to indicate someone has either an invalid or hijacked IP address. This is not the case when using a proxy server.
