Fume Hood for sale

I know it is a long shot, but is anybody located within about 150 miles of Arcata CA AND looking to buy a nearly new 8' Genie Scientific Slimline fume hood, with a sweet 4 door metal base cabinet. $300 plus about a buck per mile for delivery. Does not include the exhaust fan, but does have a nice scaffolding. I will post some pics if someone is really interested.

I'm well within range, but 8' is a little more than I would need. Pictures would be nice though. Didn't know any members were this near( ~1.5-2 hrs ). What size vent fan was mounted?

The Genie has 2x10" vents. I also have a six foot Saint Charles with base, it is a little more used. It uses one 12" vent. I will post better pictures.

thanks for the pictures. what are you asking for the 6' St. Charles, and can I see it? that seems like it would fit my situation better. I won't need the 8 footer, but I will ask a few friends if they might. by chance are these HSU hand-me-downs? well regardless, I would like to hear more.

-a brief history of use, i.e. school, personal or work use?
-any chance of contamination from illicit or energetic substances?
-how soon would it have to go out the door?

I'm working just north of Mendocino currently, but live in the central valley. I'm not exactly sure when I could take off work to drive the several hundred mile triangle up north then to valley and get back to coastal work. I'm sure I could plan a time, but not for like a week, week and a half... 3 job sites, and after hours side work at the moment. feel free to U2U me with some more info, or respond here

I don't think I would even want to tackle that one. I suggest you start watching auctions in your area. Unfortunately, labs seem to be closing down way to fast on the west coast. Good for amateur chemists, not so good for the pros.
