Here's my ink:

It writes ok, but I'm certainly no expert (I don't even have a pen I can use for it, I just made some little lines with a stirring rod) I haven't added the acacia gum yet, so it's still really thin. The color seems right though. I'll post a writing sample after I add the acacia gum. I ordered some today from Elemental Scientific, among other things.

Looks great! If you're adding acacia, you probably won't want to use the ink in a fountain pen. I've gotten away with using a small amount of it with certain fountain pens, but there is potential that it could clog (a Rotring ArtPen or Pilot Parallel Pen could handle it as long as you don't use too much). It's perfectly fine with dip pens, though.
