High temp liquids in heating mantle and how to circulate

If there becomes a need to control temperature of a tube, lets say utilized from ordinary distilling bridge, as a furnace-type catalyte-filled tube, what liquids could be used between 100 and 300C and how to circulate them between the mantle and the bank? One option could be using air bubble tube to transfer it into higher reserve where it can flow through the mantle and there back to collecting bin. I thought of using some sort of liquid because temp control and stability would be very high compared to air heating. Need would be to heat tube to approx 200C. Commercial versions are listed like Therminol which is usable to over 350C.

A side question too, how hard it should be to construct thermostat to a hot air gun? Needs some electrical connections for sure..

Many hot air guns come with a thermostat built in.
Some commercial models also have exterior thermocouple control.

63/37 tin lead solder melts at about 180C. A U-shaped tube immersed in a molten metal bath would provide good temperature consistency along the reactor tube. Failing that, drill or mill a hole in a block of aluminum, and run the tube through that. The aluminum can be heated on a hot plate, and fire bricks can be used to insulate the surface.
