On 4-MAR analogues
It 'almost' has. See the original paper on the synthesis of aminorex analogues: Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, 6,
266-272 (1967). The 3,4-methylenedioxyaminorex analogue is included in the table on page 267 as compound XXXIII, but the signs are not promising.

There was some discussion on its
4-methyl homologue at the Hive. The general consensus was that it was unlikely to be active.
