Gibberellic Acid

this powerful plant hormone has recently caught my attention at unitednuclear. at $5 for half a gram it seems pretty expensive, so i decided to synthesize it. then i looked at the structure and thought again. it's pretty big and resembles no structures i could imagine being able to alter to form it. is anyone here familiar with a gibberellic acid synthesis?

It can be isolated from the natural source Gibberella fujikuroi, see:

Chem & Ind 1066 (1954)

JCS 4670 (1954)

I thought they used ethylene to make things ripen (tomatoes, bananas)

Yeah, but I swear I remember seeing a picture of a before and after tomatoe where the first was green and the second was red through gibberlin. Hell, I dont doubt that ethylene is used as well though. Im sure there are many methods.
