Benzyl alcohol --> Benzyl Chloride

Hi guys, i'm wondering about this synth..

Bz-OH + NaCl <--H2SO4cc (catalyst)--> Bz-Cl + H2O

What do you think about making the HCl in situ? Bz-OH + some water, all in icebath, concentrated sulfuric acid added dropwise , and finally sodium chloride in small portions

I've seen this kind of reaction for bromoethane preparation from ethanol and sodium bromide.. (there's a video on youtube) but Bz-OH solubility in water could be a problem I think.
