Maybe I can find an old video from my high-school. A video in which my teacher demonstrated an Al Fe2O3 thermite without closing the sash of our side
of the fume hood. The reaction didn't go as planned: the flower pot cracked, and all the iron flew around our ears. If I find it, I'll upload it!

The beaker just had mineral oil in it.
Not 100% sure it was 100% mineral oil, so perhaps Lady Luck smiled on me once again.
Edit :
If anyone is replaying the video a lot to try to work out the word at the end it was 'Cock'.

I've got quite a few of these, and was thinking about compiling them into a 'blooper reel' for my YouTube channel. Mistakes are ok as long as you
learn from them! (and aren't seriously injured by them)

RBF . Chlorine gas emanated in room sofocate me .
