An interesting interview

This week on Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 PDT (GMT-7) I will be interviewing two professors on my radio show. Topics to be discussed will include amateur chemistry, and its role in inspiring interest, societal issues regarding both amateur and professional chemistry, the steps to becoming a professor, and chemical education.

If you want to tune in, feel free to go to http://ksdt.ucsd.edu/ and listen in.

You might also be interested to know that we'll have a relatively well-known SM member on the show as well. I'm keeping it a secret, though, as to who it is.

If it's Me, you should have said, as i'm having my hair done on Thursday.

It's only 1 hair though, so shouldn't take long.

To be fair, it's a Removal Job.

It went all funny after the S2Cl2 affair and has a weird attraction to metals as well.

That's the thing with amateur chemistry: you end up not recognising yourself in the mirror after a while.

And: people blame your maladies on your lab when in reality they are just signs of old age. :(

So it wasn't me ?

How very dare you !

Gutted. I will cry for a week, at least.

Perhaps a beer will help soothe the pain.

That was fun. Sorry I had to bail early.

I agree, that was fun. Only downside is I have to get up pretty early to catch it. ;)

"The chemists are a strange class of mortals, impelled by an almost insane impulse to seek their pleasures amid smoke and vapor, soot and flame, poisons and poverty; yet among all these evils I seem to live so sweetly that may I die if I were to change places with the Persian king" - Johann Joachim Becher, 1635 to 1682.

Thanks for coming! Turns out I had 3 guests on the show instead - TheAustralianScientist picked up where DraconicAcid left off.

I wouldn't mind a critique.

Critique :-

A bit more preparation and rehearsal would remove some nervousness, which mostly showed through as lots of 'erms' and a little bit too much of the interviewer talking.

Entertaining, good delivery and interesting - it was really very good !
