Prism angles


Hi,

Just a quick question, is there a formula to calculate the angle at which a specific wavelenght leaves a prism? I know about Snellius and Dispersion and that the index of refactions is not linear to the wavelenght but is there a prove or a formula or something that tells me why the blue part is closer to the prism then the red one ?

I have been googling for that all day long now but always come up with the angles and the index of refaction but never with a frequency or a wavelenght associated to it.

I assume you know the formula, what you also need is a table listing the index verses wavelength. For whatever specific wavelength of interest you do the calculations given the value of n for that wavelength. Examples are a simple search away. From a wiki page this image:
