Requests for lab equipment

Hi all,

I've come across an opportunity to start supplying technical equipment. If there is a large >10 amount request for any item we can significantly lower the price for things.

Any "strange" stuff please message.

Also, I have quinine [10g] and Nickel (II) chloride [50g] I'd like to get rid of.

I can obtain chemicals but this is more difficult.

You should start by telling us where you are, south California?. You should also probably expound on 'technical equipment'. I'm assuming something more specifically sciencey than computers but probably less than a linear accelerator.

You might also want to tell us a bit about yourself, if someone here wants an autoclave and you can supply them they may find it uncomfortable writing a cheque made payable to fruit. Are you planning to be a visible real person like Tom from elemental scientific or someone well trusted but pretty hidden (and start very slowly with cheap items). If you are going to be supplying new equipment like a business you really need to be running this like a business, and have some form of protection for purchasers. That could be ebay or amazon.

I'm a student looking to branch out into different opportunities. I have a friend in Canada that regularly imports large supplies from over-seas.

I'm not intending to be like Tom, if it works out that most of the supplies is easily handled, then we may open a store or something similar for supplies.

But generally;
distillation sets,
hot plates,
centrifuge,
etc...

I occasionally have an influx of reagents as well, but not whole-sale by any means.

This is possibly the Worst launch of a Business idea ever.

Clearly there is no Plan.
No market research.
No financial planning.
Nothing at all, not even a product offering.

Even if you had THE cure for cancer, this approach simply will not work, at all, ever.

Who said I was starting a business?

Why did you even respond?

This is the worst reply ever.

This is me saying that I can help people if they want equipment.

That's what this is.

If you don't need anything, that is the worst reply ever.
No insight into what I'm speculating.
No questions to the original poster.
No constructive, supportive comment.

Even if you did have something helpful, this tone will simply not help, at all, ever.

I'd say that posting on this forum is part of his initial market research.

As for chemistry stuff, probably anything that isn't easily available on eBay or amazon, but for some reason nobody sells it.

Any vacuum pump that can handle gases like chlorine and nitric acid, even in low concentrations, would be cool. Traps should be used to catch the gases anyway, but when something goes wrong, it's nice to not have to replace something like a vacuum pump.

What about an ozone generator that combines an oxygen concentrator with a regular intermediate-output ozone generator to improve efficiency?
