Complex Energy/Color calculation model - name ?
Hey,
I remember there was a name for an approach I once read about to kinda give an idea what the color of a complex might be. It had some numbers for
central atoms and ligands and if combined you would yield something close to the energy of the crystal field splitting. Of course pretty much only if
octahedral and not too many electrons. I just cantt remember the name, I know it sounded Scandinavian, probably also had one of these Ø in the name.
Any ideas ?

I can only think of crystal field theory and Tunabe-Sugano diagrams.
