A strange explosive from the Internet
Let me preface this by saying that that I have no intention of making any explosives or trying to make them for legal and safety reasons.
I was browsing a Q&A site the other day, looking at various things unrelated to explosives. I eventually came across someone who speaks
Portuguese. One of the things that were on his account on the site is this, supposedly a synthesis of some explosive compound.
The picture strikes me as odd. It's in Portugese, but I can understand what it says. Some of the formulas in the process are blurred, and the overall
process and choice of reagents just seems odd.
However,I am not knowledgeable in explosives and their synthesis.What are your thoughts on this? Does this look even remotely plausible? And what is
this compound even supposed to be?

Seems to be based on the synthesis of acetylene multimers, like was first thought to be the result of acid copper(I)acetylide decomposition. I was
under the impression though these were thought to be highly unstable compounds, and IIRC, it was later shown that the products consisted of much more
stable fullerenes instead.

It's not exactly its own website. It's literally some guy on Facebook posting things like this non-stop. I came across him while browsing Quora.

He says "TNDTETITN explosive synthesis" but I couldn't find anything about this TNDTETIN.
Maybe he came up with it by himself and this is all theoretical.
Edit: Confirmed, I looked more into his profile and it seems that he is an enthusiast and chemist.

His name wasn't Anders Hoveland by any chance?
It seems to me to be a proposed theoretical synthesis, first producing the carbon skeleton and then addition of -NO2 and -ONO2 via N2O5 in hexane.
I think it looks extremely unstable, and I doubt it has ever been synthesized except on paper.

Weird. I suggest the obvious way to test this out, someone synthesise it. I'm all out of EtOH and hexane, but someone should really look into this.
