High quality gas mask / face shields available in bulk - new unused - model M120 Facepiece
I came across a fire dept that is getting rid of their entire stock of new 3M M120 FacePiece which are full face shield gas masks used by
firefighters. They have never been used and they are selling as a lot.
Here is a link to the product page. I'm waiting to find out the exact reason for getting rid of them, supposedly they are new and nothing wrong with
them. It looks like a filter catridge would be needed or an air supply hose.
https://www.3mscott.com/products/m120-facepiece/
I don't know if there are many people who would want something like this it looks like a top of the line product, especially if Fire, EMS and police
use them (military as well) - so filters should be easy to find as well.
I found out that these are very new (less than a year old, maybe months from what I gathered) and paid for by FEMA originally, but FEMA sent even more
$$ that had to be spent (or the $ was lost) so they bought better units even though these had yet been used. Talk about government waste!
There are 20 available and they seem to be large and possible some mediums (possibly all large, I'm waiting to hear back). The large units sell on
ebay for about $250 each w/o a filter and I've seen about 30 different filters available (40mm standard cartridge filter) from $20 to $100 depending
on what you need to filter out, like VX or something - that is the more expensive filter...
I'd like to get one of these myself b/c it would take care of wearing safety glasses and my crappy respirator. I'm hoping the auction doesn't get
alot of action, but I'm also contacting my local fire departments to see if they are interested as well in some of them.
I can't estimate what the price would be for these, but there has been very little action on the auction thus far. If you have any interest in one of
these let me know. These could sell anywhere from $10 each up to $100-150, IDK (plus shipping) but these things usually don't sell real high. I'd
need to know by monday morning if you are interested in getting one of these.
The bottom attachments are from the manufacturer's rep that I contacted so if you have any questions, I can forward them to the rep if you want.

This is probably a military mask or a design derived from one. The trick with these is finding filter cartridges suitable for industrial chemicals at
a reasonable price. The warfare filters aren't suitable for most of the stuff we'd want the mask for in a chemistry lab.
The newer masks have moved away from the 40mm NATO threads and use filter elements that are all kinds of unusual sizes (like the one pictured above).
I have no idea where or even if you could get the proper filters.
EDIT: I see it does use a 40mm filter. I would be interested in one of these for sure.

I sent you a U2U. I've talked to some people who use these and they say that they are great.
This site is pretty expensive as they cater to LE and gov agencies from what I can tell. I've found the same models for as little as 50% of the
prices listed on this site, and Ebay has lots of filters that fit this mask, many made in Israel, UK, France and Germany - all at much lower prices.
I just listed some so you could get an idea of what kind of canisters are available. This was about 10% of the ones listed.
I really don't know what to look for in a canister. I'm guessing someting that protects against common commercial/industrial chemicals (HCl, HCN, SO2,
phosphine, etc as well as maybe a hepa filter). IDK if these can be stacked so a particulate filter can be placed inline with a chemical filter - and
there are also extension hoses 30-36" so the canister can be placed behind the person instead of hanging off the mask.
here are some of the cartridges that can be used with the mask:

Most industrial chemicals & most miltary chemical weapons - $50

HCl, SO2, + lots other chems $55

HCN, Bilogical reagents, nerve agents, VX, etc - $50

To everyone else:
Just out of curiosity would people be interested in these if they were priced at $50-60 each? Like I said, IDK what the auction will close at but so
far it looks good and retail for these is $250-285.
Ebay has a 4 pack of military issued P100 filters that filters for $50 (free S&H) so the cost of filters can be fairly decent
Sarin (GB)
Cyanogen Chloride (CK)
Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN)
Phosgene (CG)
Chloropicrin (PS)
Chloroacetophen (CN)
Chlorobenzylidene Malononitrile (CS)
Chlorine (Cl2)
Sulfur Dioxide (SO2)
Hydrogen Chloride (HCl)
Particulates (P100)

I would very much be interested in an upgrade to my mask priced at $50-60 plus shipping. I'm still on a half-face mask (paired with almost
face-covering goggles). The filters don't seem to be much more than the 3M organic/acid vapor cartridges. Seems like a win all-around to me--and there's no reason I'd have to stop using the old mask
Edit: Does anyone know what the equivalent to that 3M cartridge would be in 40mm and who might make it? That one generally covers most of my needs,
except it's not rated for ammonia. (It's also no good for NOx, but according to their documentation, nothing really is except an SCBA.)
Edit: This North 75SC for $12/pair shipped looks like a solid replacement.

I would think it weighs right under 2lbs and would fit in USPS priority box easily.

Alright sign me up, id be more than happy to pay any extra fees to ship to my part of the world.
RogueRose are you ok with this.
In all honesty ive been meaning to acquire a good respirator at some stage anyway so this is an excellent excuse, the price seems very reasonable.
Would definitely be good to get some information on size of the masks and how well they fit, though i suppose they are likely designed to be
relatively universal.
