How much compound is there in 10mL, in milligrams?

Be more specific, what compound, what essential oil? Without this information we can only give a very rough guess. Based on your information, I would
say at most 1 gram, but more accuracy cannot be given.brubei - 30-8-2022 at 00:05
it contains x mg
x = 10 * (oil density) * 12 / 100 * 1000
oil density is 0.8 to 0.9 unionised - 30-8-2022 at 05:02
Hopefully m/m% %m/v is nonsense, and should be avoided, especially in non-aqueous mixtures.
%m/v may look
gross from a pedantic perspective, but it is very useful! It’s far more practical than m/m or v/v when it comes to making stock solutions of
reagents, since you’ll know exactly how much mass of the diluted reagent you have in an easily measurable volume of solution. No fussing about with
densities or weighing out liquids. Of course, most of the time, a molar solution is even more practical, but %m/v and M can be easily interconverted.Organikum - 7-9-2022 at 05:08
