Flux or hydrothermal YAG crystals?
Hi,
Not sure this is the right place to ask, but...
YAG crystals (Yttrium Aluminium Garnet) are mostly being grown through melt processes (such as Czochralski method). However, melt processes yield
cylindrical masses, while I'd be very interested in crystals actually showing crystalline facets, which would require growth through either flux or
hydrothermal method.
I'm having a hard time locating people growing YAG crystals through any of those later two methods. Anyone?
