I recently aquired some hexamethyldisilazane and I am interested in various reactions that this compound can undergo. I have read about the synthesis
of an interesting ligand for forming metal complexs. The ligand is produced by reacting HMDS with dichlorophenylphosphine and distilling the
chlorotrimethylsilane as the reaction procedes. I do not have any of this phosphine, but will attempt a synthesis of it when I have more time. I am
interested in finding out more about this reagent.
