High Energy Materials 2011, an international conference
It is with great pleasure that the Association Aéronautique et
Astronautique de France in association with SNPE announce the
organization of High Energy Materials 2011, an international
conference focusing on the present state and future perspectives in
the field of civilian applications of high energy materials, from
traditional use to advanced systems.

The HEMs 2011 workshop aims at promoting communication
between leading international researchers, designers,
manufacturers, and users in selected technical areas.

June 2011: Preliminary programme
June 2011: Registration opening (form online)
31st August 2011: Final manuscript deadline

I'd be very curious to know whether the conference material will be available to the public & if (via patent or government agreement) if some
items will be preserved for conference attendees only.
I imagine that many people would be "scouting" for scientists for commercial firms. It would be amusing to see that more attendees are representatives
of industry rather than scientists or manufacturers. On that level, I'd imagine there are really only several hundred people in the world with
seriously new ideas, etc.

It dobe de rigueur to publish these conference volumes. That said
is also being (insert th same phrase in the plural) to charge
mon Dieu — for copies. Then conference admittance
fees filter out them not attending at hazard to the exchequer of their employers.
Now the little time I spent as a part time college student majoring
in GI Education Benefits, I learned how the game is played.
If you are on the faculty you can request the college library order
any books you want. And as fac. member any book you take out
has NO return by date.
Anyone who publishes a paper is obligated to supply copies upon
request. Most have preprinted post cards .. Dear colleague please
send me a copy of... that appeared in ..... Not sending a copy is
well Simple not done.
The non Brahmin's among us use — interlibrary loan. Just tell the
IL libranian We will never find a cure for cancer if I don't get a copy of this.

I remember reading in Nature
years ago ... someone while visiting
a famous scientist complemented him
on his collection of reprints.
Yes! However did you notice how they
were filed he asked.
Every time I read a paper I recognize
the name of the person who introduced
the idea/theory to science. They are all filed
by their name.

he have?]
