Anthracene

I am currently in need of somewhere on the order of 15-25g of anthracene, and I do not see it available at the few places that I buy reagents (which is very infrequently, I tend to make everything from the ground up). EDIT: I see it at chemsavers, but the only small quantity is very expensive.

Despite this, I DO NOT want to make the stuff if I can help it. I've made everything else for the synthesis I'm working on and I'm not interested in adding several more steps for something that is easily commercially available.

This thread is a decent review of anthracene synthesis: http://www.sciencemadness.org/talk/viewthread.php?tid=11451

Does anyone know of a vendor that will sell small amounts to individuals for a reasonable price? Lower purity (80% or better) material is fine, but higher purity is obviously preferred.

Alternately, if a member in good standing has some extra stock, I might be willing to purchase it. No offense but if you have only a handful of posts, I'm not willing to give you my name and address so you can ship it.

Anthracene, in internet shops I know (central europe), is very cheap, even about 2 euros per 1kg.
29 grams they offer for less than 0,2 euro....
Sorry for offtopic, but I am a little surprised with problems with buying it at reasonable price.

I don't seem to see it here...and that is a shockingly low price. I can see that for naphthalene maybe, but anthracene? At any rate, a member has offered me some via U2U and I'm going to take them up on the offer.
