Tropylium ions are incredibly interesting (My love of the number 7) and. I saw a preparation of tropylium iodide in my uncle's chem book, and its
chemistry piqued my interest. I then thought of the perchlorate salt. I could not access the PDFs but someone here can, I think. If so... In any case,
the OB ain't great. But from what I know it ought to pack some punch.
