ketoamines

Amino phorones, piperidones, etc., are pesky little critters that can form mineral acid salts and free bases that are water soluble. So how to isolate the bases? I'm trying to find literature on the subject if anyone here has dealt with them. All in the interest of an oil free economy .. :^)

Probably the best way is to crystallize it by concentrating it and lowering the temperature.

Btw, did you make the amino phorone? If so, could you describe the procedure?

No-this is a product of commerce that we're trying to understand better as a candidate for complexing metal oxides. I'm intrigued by the patents related to these though..interesting manipualtions with things like t-butylhydroperoxide and Pd(OH)2 on solid media
