alkylation of nitrocompounds
The reactions of alkylation of nitro compounds take place polyalkylation?
CH2-NO2- Na+ + EtI => CH3-CH2-CH2-NO2 + NaI
I believe that not for the reaction mechanism:
CH3-NO2 + NaOH ==> CH2-NO2 - Na+ + H2O
But?
CH2-NO2Na + H2O => CH3-NO2 + NaOH???
CH3-CH2-CH2-NO2 + NaOH ==> CH3-CH2-CH-NO2 - Na+ + H2O
CH3-CH2-CH-NO2 - Na+ CH3I => CH3-CH2-C(CH3)-NO2 + NaI
??????

Next time UTFSE by yourself!

PS: With that kind and amount of nonsense, this thread looks like an excellent contribution to Detritus anyway.

Thank you. I had looked for information on the reaction but I didn't find information. Then polyalkylation doesn't take place. I thought that not. But
I was not sure.
