Oxidation- Reduction


What happens if MnO2 was mixed with KI and 9M sulfuric acid?

Can't seem to figure this one out.

The MnO2 will oxidize the iodide to iodine:

MnO2 + 4H(+) + 2I(-) --> Mn(2+) + I2 + 2H2O

At a concentration of 9M for the sulphuric acid, I also can imagine that the acid itself may be oxidizing the iodide to some extent as well, making the reaction less clean (production of sulphur, hydrogen sulfide and sulphur dioxide). I would suggest to decrease the concentration of the acid to 4M or something like that. At such a lower concentration the only reaction will be the one, given above.
