thermocracking hydrcarbons

im wondering if anyone here has tried thermo-cracking used engine oil to obtain a useful fuel with the possibility of a few additives, i have successfully performed waste plastic like polythene into a useable fuel but am wondering by any chance if anyone has heard of this being done

any info would be great:)
