Fuel C by Laboratory of Liptakov
So I made a 100 gramm batch of the plastic rocket fuel called Fuel C.
I started to weight out the chemicals(KNO3,Ascorbic acid,NaHCO3,Sulphur).Added the powders to 100 ml of water in small incrasements to prevent
overfloving.Put in a water bath and started to boil.2 hours it doesnt seem to boil, instead turned to green and started to smell like vinegar. So my
parents and my brother wasnt familiar with the smell so I stopped. The next day I put to the stove again and started again but arrived home early and
after the big talk I put it to the sun.At this moment it was black.A big huff and it smells like swamp gas.Any ideas why this happened? The swamp smell
and black goo?

Did you react the ascorbic acid with sodium bicarbonate first to create sodium ascorbate, then react the others? I would be more specific of your
method so that I can better help you.

http://m.youtube.com/verify_age?next=%2Fwatch%3Fitct%3DCBsQp... the ingredients and mixed ingredients to achieve a homogeonus mixture. And added
the ingredients to water.Polysulpides is not possible because there isnt excess sodium bicarb. There is a video on Liptakov's channel.

The sentence "I put to the stove again and started again but arrived home early " let me think you have left the mix heating without care and without
keeping an eye on it for some time.
This is highly unadvisable!
It seems the mix has reached a T° far above the proposed T° of 120°C of Laboratory of Liptakov.
Evidences?
1°)Sulfur may turn Brown-black at certain stage of melting;
2°)Melting sulfur with organic materials (CxHyOz) usually gives a swamp smell, rotten eggs smell (H2S) and rotten sprouts smell (thiols, alkyl
sulfides and disulfides)...
You had chance this time, don't push it further...be more carefull otherwise it may cost you a lot of money... furnitures, house, members, limbs or
life(s) (yours and/or others)!

My mothers and father arrived home early.
But maybe the temp was too high and the sulphur melted and.Water bath cannot reach more than 102 C° isnt it?

You could use an oil bath instead of a water bath.
Low temperature oven could work but I would put a thermometer in it and keep an eye on the temperature.
There are a couple of basic rules to help you here
1. Energetics should never be left unattended.
2. Anything with sulfur belongs in the shed and not in the kitchen.
