Thank you for letting me join

Hello everyone, im very happy to be here, iv been reading this forum among others for many years, i am still quite novice when it comes to understanding chemistry however i believe being here will help me learn faster. I have quite a large collection of lab equipment and i am always expanding it. I have no lab at the moment though but i hope very soon in the future that will change, i am more than willing to carry out syntheses in question with the forums help and document it. Once again thank you and i hope i can contribute something worthy to the community.

Welcome to the land of the Mad! I too was a long-time lurker before I finally joined. Also like you, I've got a bunch of equipment, no lab (yet), and a bunch of anticipated projects. What kind of projects do you have in the works? Have you done any chemistry before now?

Again, welcome, and I hope to see your work in the future. Good luck!

Hi sulaiman, at the moment im interested in organic chemistry, i am very interested in low temperature stuff and have plans of building a cryocooler when i get the space, i have a -40c recirculating bath but i want one that can go past -100c or more.

Hi chempyre235, i have done chemistry in the past, not too much, i made a lot of energetics when i was younger, have made acids, converted nitrates to nitrites, made chlorates and things but it was mostly from watching videos or reading things online. I want to be able to understand what actually happens in any given reaction.

My future projects include alkali metal production, building a low temperature recirculating bath, figuring out a viable path for gas phase nitration, gas phase oxidation (or dehydration) of alcohols to aldehydes, methanol production from biogas and more but before that just improving my lab skills with practicing a lot of reactions.
