Do you mean 3-methyl-2-butanethiol? Starting from what? 3-methyl-2-bromobutane + NaSH works, for example.

Sounds like you'd better hit the organic chemistry textbook a bit more so you can finish your homework, I doubt on-line help is acceptable during exams.

I know some synthetic mechanisms about 3-methyl-2-butanethiol. but i don't know which one is the best. for example:
3-methyl-2-bromobutane or 3-methyl-2-chloro-butane + KSH or NaSH;
3-methyl-2-butanol + H2S;
3-methyl-2-butene +H2S;
3-methyl-2-butaneMgX to 3-methyl-2-butanethiol;
3-methyl-2-bromobutane or 3-methyl-2-chloro-butane + (NH2)2CS;
Which one is the best one? Which one should i choose?
