hotplate/stirrer
Dear all,
I've got a problem with a IKA hotplate/stirrer combination.
This thing has a DIN output (on the back of it see picture below) of 5V.
I now ordered a fuzzy logic controller (temperature controller, digitally with thermocouple) see picture below.
This thing needs 8V-16V. If the stirrer doesn't supply this voltage by the DIN connector then one can order a power set which costs another 130
euro's. Is there any way to put more power on that DIN connector in the back of the stirrer?

I don't understand. What you asked about was a hotplate stirrer wasn't it? That's not what you're showing. Anyway, it's wired for 10v. If you get
in and re-wire it and put in more juice you may fry the windings. I paid $20 for a geared stirrer and then had to pay about $200 for a control box.
It turned out to be well worth the investment. It delivers enough torque to turn a paddle through a leak proof bearing and viscous liquids. It does
this on its lower settings. I have a cone stirrer that would plug into a variac but its not nearly as strong. It would sometimes quit in the middle
of an overnight reaction. Can't have that.
You might get a model train control box and wire your device to accept it but I'm affraid you would end up with a weak mixer that would be OK for
titrations but not much else. Looks like something from a biotech lab.

No no the top picture I showed is the DIN plug I wanted to show so it is clear that I mean the plug on the back of the hotplate/stirrer combination.
I did order that exact thing which is in the picture below.
My hotplate/stirrer combination has 5V on that DIN plug output.
But the thing I ordered needs 8-16V to supply electricity for that thing I ordered.
So this is what I'm talking about, I have both of them now but problem is that my hotplate/stirrer supplies 5V and that other thing needs 8-16V, so
the question is if I can higher the voltage that the hotplate/stirrer directs to that plug to make it 8V...?
I'm not talking about a overhead stirrer. just the two things in the picture.

Yes and No,
I did order to products from the same brand, but the magnetic stirrer I have is quite old (IKA RET) so it doesn't supply enough voltages.
I did do some searching and there are basically 2 options:
1. External power supply
2. The simplist method would be to make a circuit with diodes and condensators.
