new UK equipment supplier

I am just about to make a large order for some lab equipment from Euro Lab Supplies, North Warwickshire.

Has any one dealt with them before ?

Interestingly it seems that Euro Lab Supplies parent company, the Millhouse Group, have taken over LP Chemicals as well.

Have not ordered from this company before but they seemed expensive when I looked at them a while ago. I have used Timstar Laboratory Supplies and Scientific & Chemical Supplies Ltd and these have always been good, in conjunction with ebay of course!

Euro Lab supplies clearly state that they will not sell (chemicals?) to private individuals.

In that case, simply call yourself a "Laboratory". However, they might request proof of company formation.

For jointed glassware, I'm in contact with an individual who has a large variety of quickfit + (other brands) labware, mostly new, for very reasonable prices. For example, I got a 42cm liebig and a 1L rbf both new, branded quickfit, for £21.50 incl. postage. If you're buying jointed stuff, U2U me and I will give you her email.

I've also used Timstar (at theobromacacao's recommendation) and they were very professional but the shipping was more than the item, so only good for bigger orders and again it would seem they are best for their own brand jointed glassware - everything else looks quite expensive. Phillip Harris deigned to announce that they had discontinued the item I ordered only when I contacted them and never apologised - avoid!

For general labware like beakers, tubing, bungs, etc rapidonline are the cheapest (http://www.rapidonline.com/Educational-Products/Science/Labo...) and delivery is free on big orders.

What sort of equipment are you buying?

I wasn't intending on ordering any reagents just glassware.

Flasks, condensers, a dessicator possibly a stirrer or heating mantle etc etc

I do use rapidonline for some of my stuff but they are a little limited.

Cheap is good so if anyone wants to point me in direction of other dealers I would be more than happy to check them out.

Thanks Mossydie I will send you a U2U

If that's Ben Brockbank, I recently bought a heating mantle from him. Definitely a recommended seller.
