hOW TO PRODUCE HBr INSITU???
hello everyone
can anyone tell me how to produce HBr insitu? As i want to conduct bromination over Alcohol from HBr..
is this reaction possible or not?

Step one :
turn off your @#$%^&*(*%# capslock
Step two
go to http://www.orgsyn.org/
down below the "Access Organic Syntheses via graphical tables of contents" line select "Collected Volume 1" leave the 'start page' field blank, and
push the 'go' button.
then find "ALKYL AND ALKYLENE BROMIDES" in the alphabetical list of procedures, and click on the HTML or PDF link.

Seriously though I have personaly done a writeup of the bromination of EtOH and I just mentioned this earlier today to someone else. There is a search
engine and to be quite honest your not ready.
If you cant use a search function and you dont know how to make HBr from H2SO4 and NaBr then you are not prepaired to handle the formation and storage
of the toxic bromoalkane formed end of story........
