Hydration of alkenes, specifics

Hi all,

I'm trying to find specifics on hydration reactions, converting alkene to alcohol, in particular using phosphoric acid instead of sulfuric. But TFSE keeps pulling up dehydration reactions. Anyone have any experience with this, or could point me in the right direction?

Thanks

1. consult an organic chemistry textbook or organic chemistry laboratory manual.
2. google "addition of water to alkenes"; you will get many links to various sources, including several to videos on YouTube.
