Ammonium Nitrate Fertilizer

I've been calling local feed dealers in search of AN fertilizer, and I finally found one that sells 34-0-0 ammonium nitrate during the spring/summer in 50lb bags.

However, the owner claims that the product contains some sulfur. I asked him if the product he's referring to is 34-0-0-11, and he said that it's not. So I'm left thinking this is ammonium nitrate with a small percentage of sulfur additive.

So I ask you fine chemists, what would be the purpose of adding sulfur to AN, and have you ever heard of such a blend being sold?

http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_is_sulfur_used_in_lawn_fertili...

It makes iron more available to plants.

You can just filter that, or decant as some fertilizers have some additives that are hard to filter if you want to extract AN.

It's hard to get here too. I did get a bag of calcium nitrate and another of ammonium sulfate. I made a pound or so of NH4NO3 for fun but I don't really have much use for it, much less 50#.
