can you use thermite reaction as a heat source for melting metal to make alloy
also i want to make titanium vanadium chromium alloy using thermite reaction as a heat source

if you mean using thermite to heat a crucible containing the metal to melt, yeah but no, the reaction is pretty quick, the crucible would not transmit the heat fast enough, or you would nead a heap of thermite mixture...

if you mean "using the metal oxides in a thermite reaction to yeald the molten metals" yes i think you could but casting it would be nearly impossible, so once you made the alloy you would still need to remelt it, and at this point you didn't need a thermite reaction in the first place if you can melt the alloy
