I am synthesizing some hydrazines starting with alkyl diols + activation with CDI and then reaction with hydrazide solution. I do this step a few
times and the imidazole by-product does not affect my reactions. However, I would like to remove the imidazole for further characterization and I
cannot extract it as the final product is also soluble in water.
